THE FRACTAL FACILITATOR TEAM

Introducing our professional licensed Psilocybin Facilitator Team, who work with clients privately through preparation, journey sessions and integration. There are roughly 300 licensed psilocybin facilitators in Oregon – Fractal’s team are among the best in the industry, displaying consistent adaptability, professionalism, ethical integrity, and warm, compassionate personality style.

Despite special interests listed, all facilitators are equipped and trained to facilitate clients through healing of common mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression, identity and purpose discovery. Certain facilitators are required for matching with specialty skills such as severe trauma and substance misuse/addiction concerns. Our intake team can help match you to a well equipped facilitator, or refer out if needed.

AJ’S BIO:

AJ (She/They) is an empowerment coach, somatic educator, and self-described “nerdy Midwest Mom.” She holds Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in Psychology with a focus on sex therapy and intersectional counseling. AJ specializes in supporting people through transitions (of all kinds), LGBTQ+ clients, and Shadow work. She loves co-creating ceremonies for embracing new life chapters, releasing old habits/patterns, and helping people access more self-acceptance and confidence. AJ works with people from all walks of life, and her friendly approach makes her a good fit for those who are new to psilocybin. She believes that mushrooms are a powerful ally, and that everyone deserves healing.

GOULD

ARAH’S BIO:

Arah (She/Her) is a psychotherapist (does not provide these services concurrently with psilocybin services), a mother, and a lifelong learner, exploring various paths of healing and development over decades in a variety of professional and personal ways. She has a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and postgraduate training in secular Buddhist psychology, humanistic/existential therapy, specialized therapy with adoptive families, trauma training, couples therapy, and more. She has also trained in Pine Street Sangha’s meditation mentor program and practices reflective meditation regularly. Other areas of her work include parenting, life transitions, and emotional neglect. Curiosity and compassion are Arah’s trusted companions in her work with clients. She strongly believes that each of us has a healing capacity within.

HILARY RAPPAPORT

Lead Facilitator for Grief & Loss, Self Love & Shame, Life Transitions

HILARY’S BIO:

Hilary (She/They) is a skilled healer and space-holder for those working with deep grief, depression and self-criticism. Her gentle, adaptable spirit makes her very approachable for those new to the medicine space as as well as those with experience. A lifelong healer, Hilary is completing formal education with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in addition to her Facilitator licensure. She is also trained in Somatic Experiencing, which is a body and movement-oriented method of helping people find healing from trauma.

Hilary comes to this work through a transformative experience with her own grief and volunteers at the Portland Grief House. She is a nature and plant lover, and specializes in helping clients explore grief through nature and creativity.

GLOVER

Lead Facilitator for Spirituality, LGBTQIA Identity, Neurodivergence

JASON G’S BIO:

Jason (They/Them) has been sitting personally with psilocybin for 20 years. They are trained in Hakomi — a mindfulness-based somatic therapeutic modality. As a Buddhist meditator, they are excited about the ways psychedelics and meditation practices can be synergistic.

Jason identifies as non-binary and neurodivergent, and is very interested in working with queer and neurodivergent clients. They are also interested in helping with grief work, folks working through gender identity issues, folks working through questions of existential meaning and spirituality, and helping with depression and addiction.

Their career to date has been in the tech and design space, where they have been leading creative teams and mentoring up-and-coming designers.

Jason holds a bachelor’s in psychology (with specialization in neuroscience and psychopharmacology). They have spent many years as a volunteer in holding compassionate space for the release of grief at psychedelic festivals.

KARA’S BIO:

Kara (She/They) is an experienced psilocybin facilitator with training in Naturopathic Medicine, gender-affirming care, trauma-informed care, and mental health counseling. She has volunteered for the Returning Veterans Project, and has additional training working with this population.

Kara has experience and training working with people living with chronic disease, including Lyme and co-infections, mycotoxin and mold Illness, autoimmune disease, cancer, and chronic digestive disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease. She understands the physical and mental health sequelae that travel alongside these conditions.

Kara has been working with psilocybin for 25 years and sits with this (fungal) plant medicine with gratitude, reverence and awe.

MATT
BAKER

Lead Facilitator For: Addiction, Anger, Veterans

NOTE: Matt is currently on a Family Medical Leave of Absence through June 2024.

MATT’S BIO:

Matt (He/Him) grew up in Africa and the Persian Gulf, moving every few years. At age 16, he moved back to the US on a small family farm in Kansas. As a neurodivergent individual, Matt struggled in the traditional school system, which taught him he was incapable of learning or succeeding. He turned to alcohol and drugs at an early age to cope. This substance use caused significant turmoil but ended as a catalyst for change.

A prior high school teacher, Matt is currently a husband and parent of two young children. His partner has a progressive terminal illness. Through therapeutic use of psilocybin, Matt and his partner have been able to connect more deeply, explore their wounds and traumas, and see a higher perspective on cultural roles they accepted and generational patterns they inherited.

Matt is deeply committed to working with clients experiencing identity struggles, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, and addiction issues. Having family & friends in the military, he is honored to serve our veterans and first responders. He believes psilocybin has the power to reunite us with ourselves and one another, and is work that is truly worth engaging in. Matt has also studied mushroom cultivation directly under the tutelage of Paul Stamets.

ANGELA YBARRA

ANGELA’S BIO:

Angela (She/Her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice (kindly note: she does not work as a LMFT while providing psilocybin services). She is professionally trained and integrates a range of therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Awareness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to guide clients through the healing process, addressing traumas, attachment disorders, ancestral burdens, and unprocessed emotions.

Angela is BIPOC, Ageism and LGBTQ+ affirming. She understands the unique challenges individuals face within these communities, and is committed to providing a space that embraces and validates each client’s identity and experiences.

ELANA KANANYKHINA

ELANA’S BIO:

Elana (She/Her) is a psychedelic breathwork facilitator of 9 years from Portland, Oregon. She graduated from the SoundMind Psychedelic Facilitator Training, and from Portland State University with B.Sc degrees in psychology, philosophy, and neuroscience. She has completed additional trainings on End of Life Care, Somatic Psychedelic Facilitation, and Somatic EMDR.

Elana’s interests are in embodied liberation, peeling back the layers of intergenerational trauma, and tuning into our intricate connections to the web of life. Elana is a queer woman, a second-generation immigrant, and a lover of exploring the forgotten corners of our inner landscapes.

JASON WRIGHT

Special Interests: Medication-resistant Depression, Anxiety, Prior Trauma, Rediscovering joy in life

JASON W’S BIO:

Jason (He/Him) is a psychiatric nurse and an experienced psychedelic facilitator. He has been working in Behavioral health hospitals for the last 18+ y ears. Jason has been part of the Psychiatric medical model working in both in-patient acute care facilitates and in a Psychiatric emergency room. Most recently he has been teaching caregivers how to safely manage behavioral escalation in patients.

Jason has witnessed the shortcomings of the medical model, and he sees psilocybin facilitation as a way he can help people find relief from medication resistant depression, anxiety, trauma and finding the joy of life. His focus on creating a safe and accepting environment gives clients the space to explore the depths of Themselves. He has attended trainings in non-violent communication, trauma-informed care, and Bhakti yoga. These trainings have shaped his therapeutic style and his calming presence.

JOHNNY DWORK

Special Interests: Leadership development, Creativity, Spirituality, Jewish community and generational Holocaust trauma

JOHNNY’S BIO:

(He/Him) Over a forty-five year career in human empowerment facilitation, Johnny Dwork has been guiding and supporting seekers of emotional/spiritual wellness and creative enhancement through the exploration of non-ordinary states of consciousness. His extensive personal experience with psychedelics has shaped his philosophy and life mission: to help you show up as the Hero archetype in the adventure of your life.

Johnny credits psilocybin for his success as a world champion athlete, multi-faceted businessman, award-winning author, and producer of mythic-themed music & art festivals. Johnny is also a life coach, Universal Life Minister and Sacred Fire Circle facilitator. He completed his facilitator training at InnerTrek and also hosts group retreats there.

LEONIE WOLFF

Special Interests: Burnt-out healthcare workers (in particular, nurses), cancer survivors, women and aging, life transitions

LEONIE’S BIO:

(She/Her) A recent graduate of InnerTrek’s training program, Leonie has developed and facilitated workshops, professional seminars and retreats for over 30 years. She facilitates from her heart with a warm presence, insight developed through experience, and a clear passion for being alive.

For 20 years, she has facilitated retreats and support groups for people living with cancer and their loved ones in a variety of locations. A Registered Nurse since 1986, Leonie continues to offer her knowledge and support for women, new families and her peers as an RN Lead at a hospital based birth center. She’s also a Black Rock Ranger, and mentor for new Rangers, at Burning Man.

TODD BREHM

Special Interests: Addressing past trauma, deal with ongoing personal challenges, exploring expanses of consciousness.

TODD’S BIO:

Todd (He/Him) has spent most of his career supporting people on their healing/growth journeys – as a trained social worker/therapist working primarily with youth and families, and prior to that as an educator, teaching a variety of subjects to kids and adults. The unifying intention and theme throughout his work has been a profound appreciation for the world, a deep love for people with all of our perfect imperfections, and a firm believe in our inner healing power and wisdom.

Todd is open to working with any and all clients, and believes that the relationship between client and facilitator is key – in other words, cultivating a strong connection and sense of trust is paramount to a beneficial medicine journey.

Todd has worked with plant-based medicines and psychedelics for many years. Humility, Gratitude and Respect are his guiding values for this work.

Kat is also a licensed facilitator through OHA but is not currently accepting/being matched to new clients. She serves her existing client base, leads women’s ceremonies bimonthly and hosts a Friday microdosing class. She will occasionally take new clients not able to be matched to other facilitators.
